The U10 team recorded a comfortable win against a young but game Oranmore/Maree 2nd team in Cappagh on Monday night. Every girl got a good run. There are 3 more matches left in this stage of the competition.

After their initial victory over Bearna Furbo, the girls have suffered two consecutive defeats. A couple of early goals conceded in Turloughmore proved decisive. Despite outscoring Turlough after the initial phase, the resulted ended 4-1 to 3-0.

This was followed by a home match against Liam Mellows. The visitors scored two goals in the first half and added to their tally early in the second. Despite dominating second half possession, the girls could not quite rescue the game despite two goals from Sadhbh Doyle, the second in particular a marvellous effort.

With so many girls active at this age, it is a tough balancing task to give matches to all and to stay competitive.
