A disastrous opening couple of minutes in Ballyloughane decided the match against Liam Mellows. A Niamh Breen goal proved scant consolation. Best for Salthill were Lauren Byrne, Clodagh O'Donnell and Elena Donnellan.

However, a victory by 6-0 to 2-3 against Beal Atha na Slua proved a tonic. That match was played with a tremendous attitude by both teams. Every Salthill player who did not start the match started the second half. The scores came from players of the match Ailbhe Colleran and Niamh Breen, Amie Donneallan (2), Saoirse Ffrench and Tara Burke.

In every match this year 20 or more players have got a run.
