Friendly Against Knockrockery PDF Print E-mail

The U12's finished out the year with a challenge match against Knockrockery who travelled all the way from Roscommon.  The weather was great on the day with some lovely winter sun breaking through for the duration of the game. This was a very evenly contested match played over three 20 minute periods. The majority of the team was made up of the very able members of the U11 squad, with a total of 28 players turning up on the day. Morgan Hanley had his shooting boots on putting over a total of 8 points. Great performances were also put in by Kevin Cahalane, Ronan O'Halloran, David Patton from the U11's while Eamonn Conroy, Kevin Horgan and Ronan Murphy shone for the U12's with the latter having a great game at full back. A special thanks for to the lads from Knockrockery for travelling the distance and making a great contest out of it.

Welll done to all concerned in the Roinn 2 final in Monivea last Saturday. The U12B's, under the stewardship of Anthony Finnerty and Mike Lally continued with their late surge yesterday by beating Moycullen at Cappagh Park. Amongst the outstanding players for the team on the day were Daivid Patton and Ronan Holleran.

The U12's will continue with training tomorrow night, Tuesday 29th at 6:30 at the Arus. Please bring boots and runners.  We hope to play one or two challenges before the end of the year so we'll keep ye posted on what's happening.

The U12A's are schedueld to play a football final in their division this coming weekend 26th / 27th of September against Mountbellew / Moylough. The exact date and venue are yet to be finalised and we will keep you up-to-date on developments on that front.

 Meanwhile theU12B's will have a home match versus Clarinbridgeat the Prairie tomorrow eveining at 6.30 p.m.
